Trench Cover

National Grid Gas (Transco) has approved the Mitras Trench Cover to their standard T/SP/E/42.

HAUC approved and compliant with the UK’s DETR Safety at streetworks and roadworks code of practice, the Trench Cover is designed to span a trench with a maximum width of 700mm and is laid longitudinally.

With dimensions of 1195mm x 795mm, and an anti-slip surface, the Trench Cover is the perfect solution to the problem of maintaining access during streetworks.

Manufactured from glass-reinforced composite, the strength of the Trench Cover is achieved by the inclusion of a steel mesh.

Designed to withstand a maximum vehicle weight of 2000kg, with a single load per wheel maximum of 500kg, independent testing proves conformity. Click here to see the independent test results.
